On top of the swingarm brackett. I have a 1997 and there is a little shelf that they set it on. They made a brackett to bolt to the little shelf already there and secured the regulator to it. They also painted the brackett black, so it doesn't even show. I was advised not to put it in the tool box because it would get to warm in there. On a 1985 Savage, they put it in a spot behind the cylinder. I had that option also, but it was more visible. My pipe hides it where it is. You really have to be looking for it. I called the guys at the Suzuki dealer near here and the service manager was really helpful.
